In continuation to our Beginners Candle Making Workshop Part 1, we are bringing you Part 2. In this workshop we will be introducing new topics, working with different sized vessels, and using another type of soy wax. Taking Part 1 prior to this workshop is not a requirement.
What you will learn:
An Introduction to Soy Wax and it’s benefits, we will briefly go over how to choose the right type of wax for your candle making needs.
Learn about the various wicks available and how to choose the appropriate wick for your candle.
A brief description of candle colorants and how and when to add them.
Step by step guide to the process of producing a container candle including measuring correct quantities of wax and scents required.
Learn the difference between candles and wax melts and the benefits of each.
Create and hand pour 1-8oz soy candle, create and pour 2-2.4oz (6pc) wax tarts.
The cost for this workshop is $45 (+taxes and Eventbrites fees) and includes step-by-step instruction and materials. You will take home 1 - 8oz, absolutely gorgeous jar candle (please choose pink or silver), and 2 packs - 2.4oz wax tarts. Candles will be available for pick up the following day. This workshop does cost more than Part 1 as we will be using more in materials. Workshop duration is 2-3 hours, so please plan accordingly.
Requirements: Please bring a sweater or something with long sleeves that you can easily slip on and off.
The last day to sign up for this workshop is April 8th by 8pm. Seating is limited to 9 spots so we can ensure good flow and individualized attention where necessary.
